It has been a wild week. Lots of rain... some swimming, some fast paced walking, and some running. And lots of working. My milestones this week are going to a running store.... getting fitted, but I learned a valuable/expensive lesson. When the place does not have a way to video you running, or doesn't put you on a tread mill.... do not blanketly accept the "support" or lack there of based on you walking. Did you know many people walk differently than we run? When I walk, I wear out the heel..... I was fitted with support or stability shoes.... when I run... my heels barely touch the ground... ouch. First run in new shoes, killed my ankles.... so disappointed, but lesson learned....... good shoes for walking in though.
While I was away, not much in donations came through. Goal given to me by Give Kids the World is $500 by the end of July. With the fundraising efforts from my Thirty One Gifts party arriving, and having it entered into the site, I am at $402 today. $98 left to raise this month, but I really want to be higher!!!!
Hope the people who promised support do so soon!!!! Thank you to everyone who has supported my efforts to date!!!!
